How we travel

Private, unhurried and planned with a person

  • A private guide and driver

Your own guide to explain the places, and a separate driver in a private air-conditioned car, booked with providers through our links. Never a group tour.

  • An unhurried pace

Sightseeing in the cooler mornings, a rest in the middle of the day, and short flights instead of long drives where the route allows.

  • Stays chosen by hand

Hotels picked for their sense of place, their quiet and their comfort, at the level of the tier you choose.

  • Planned with a person

You plan with a person, not with a booking engine, then book each part through our links in the order we suggest. We stay reachable while you travel.

Design your own journey

Tell us the places, the season and the pace you have in mind. We design the days with you, privately, from the first idea.

Three ways to travel

Every journey, three levels of comfort

The route is the same in each tier and every tier is private. What changes is the style of hotel, how you are guided and the touches along the way. Choose a tier, then change the days.

  1. Signature

The finest hotels, a senior private guide throughout and room in the days for the special touches.

  2. HeritageMost chosen

Characterful heritage and boutique hotels, a private guide in each region: the balance most travellers choose.

  3. Essential

Comfortable, central four-star hotels, private transfers and a private guide on the sightseeing days.

A folded paper map and a cup of coffee on a wooden table, ready for planning a journey.

Plan with people who know Vietnam

Plan with Tripora's coordinator team

An experienced team based in Vietnam

Our coordinators are an experienced team who know Vietnam well, from the far north to the islands, and the hotels, drivers and guides there.

They plan each journey with you, check the days before sending you the booking links, and stay reachable while you travel.

How it works

Four steps, and nothing is charged today

We design the journey with you. You book each part through our links, and we stay with you until you are home.

  1. Step 1: Talk to us

Tell us when you would like to travel, who is coming and what matters to you, by email, on WhatsApp or on a video call. You can start from one of our journeys or from a blank page.

  2. Step 2: We design it with you

We shape the days around you: the places, the pace, where you stay and the tier that suits you. Every day can change until it feels right.

  3. Step 3: You book, in order

We send your plan back with a booking link for each part, on your dates and in the order to book. You book each one on the provider's own site, after reading its terms.

  4. Step 4: You travel

Your hotels, transfers and private guided days are with the providers you booked, each with its own confirmation and contact. We stay reachable the whole time.

Who does what, and who is paid when

What you can rely on

Clear about who does what

  • Booked on established booking sites

Hotels, transfers and private tours are booked with their providers on established booking sites, each with its own confirmation, terms and customer service.

  • You pay each provider directly

You pay each provider its listed price on its own site; Tripora adds nothing on top. We never ask for your card details, a deposit or a bank transfer.

  • A reply within one business hour

From 8:00 to 18:00 Vietnam time (UTC+7), Monday to Saturday. Outside those hours, within the first hour of the next working morning.

  • Private, never a group

The guides, cars and tours in your plan are private ones you book for yourselves, so the days can move around you.

  • Travel insurance recommended

We ask every traveller to take out a policy that covers cancellation and their health abroad, before booking the first part.

When to go

The best months, from where you live

Vietnam is long, so the seasons differ from north to south. February to April suits a journey through the whole country.

  • From the UK, Ireland and Europe

January to March for winter sun; October and November for the North and South.

  • From the US and Canada

January to April, and October to November.

  • From Australia and New Zealand

March to May, and September to November; mid-year suits the central coast.

  • From Singapore

Any long weekend; December to April for the South.
